The two previous and recent reviews describe the pub ably, I found the interior rather plain with some cushioned pew seating there was little else to catch the eye, It seemed rather more like a waiting room than a pub though the beer garden to the rear adds something extra for the summer months.
Just one cask beer was on, a finely kept Oakham Inferno along with six craft keg beers and a couple of Ciders.
An ok pub but nothing too exciting though well worth the look.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Bald Buzzard Ale House
On the small side, even for a micro-pub, with just one table to go with the bench seating around the periphery. Also, no pumps of any description on the compact counter, with all casks and kegs in the glass-fronted cool room. Room for three of the former on a stillage - with the town's Hatters Bitter (£4.60) and Velvet Touch on gravity, and Oakham JHB coming next - and the craft beers being served through electric pumps. A couple of ciders being poured too.

Small micropub with a bar at the front and another room to the rear with the toilet. The front room has bare boards apart from a few bits of carpet. A cool room just behind the bar houses the beers and ciders. Drinks are listed on a screen to the side of the bar. This is presumably used to show live sporting events as rugby games were due to be shown in the Six Nations.
The 2 cask ales on were Oakham JHB & Leighton Buzzard Amber Mild. I chose the latter and found it fairly insipid. That may just be the beer, as I've yet to find a Leighton Buzzard Brewery beer that I've enjoyed, even after visiting the brewery itself in January. Ciders were Abrahall's Slack Alice & Thistly Cross Whisky Cask. They also have some craft beers. These were Anspach & Hobday London Black, Double-Barrelled Parka, Kirkstall Virtuous & Yonder Blood Orange And Yuzu & Maple Banana Blueberry Pancakes.
Apparently open for over 10 years, this must have been one of the very earliest micropubs. It certainly feels a little worn around the edges now. Hopefully beer quality is normally better than what I experienced. I quite liked the atmosphere here and would be happy to give it another try. However, I preferred the Black Lion, Bottle House & White Horse on the basis of my day touring the hostelries of Leighton Buzzard.
